Penny also coaches showjumping for eventers and showjump riders throughout New Zealand, conducting clinics and taking private and group lessons. She has also coached in Switzerland and Japan and holds regular clinics in the Philippines.

Riders from Switzerland, USA, Philippines and Japan are based with Penny at Chestnut Glade on a regular basis. Horses are provided for riders to train and compete with. They have daily training and compete at several shows during their stay. Excellent results have been achieved through this totally hands-on experience.

Coaching is available for short stay riders depending on their requirements and can be worked in with any travel or touring plans.

Penny Stevenson is an accredited Level Three Coach and has worked with the New Zealand National Eventing training squad. She is a regular visitor to the major international showjumping competitions in Europe (including the World and European Championships and the Olympic Games). This ensures Penny is always up to date with current training methods and techniques.

Just to let you know that I had my first novice / 1.10m horse trial start on my little black horse this weekend.  There were so many curving lines on the xc, corner to corner on a 4 stride curving line, curving lines to skinnys, quite technical.  I was quite worried he would not turn and be listening, but he handled it like a pro, all thanks to your fabulous lessons.  So not only do the exercises you get us to do help with SJ but are awesome and absolutely perfect for xc too.  All those hard lines etc that you make us do, really do pay off, so thank you very very much for making us do things we would otherwise not practice.
